The window to file as a candidate to run for one of the three open seats on the Healdsburg Unified School District Board opened on Monday, July 15th and closes on Friday, August 9th.
The Healdsburg Unified School District Board of Trustees meets once a month from August through June (with two meetings in June), in addition to occasional Special Board Meetings, which are scheduled as needed.
Trustees receive a $240 per month stipend and have the option to join the Healdsburg Unified School District's health care plan.
There is no filing fee to run for School Board, and if you choose to write an optional candidate statement, the district will pay the associated fees. In order to run, potential candidates will need to file for candidacy with the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters, which is located in Santa Rosa, CA at 435 Fiscal Drive. Their business hours are:
Monday – Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Thursday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
